Growing up in a Southern California church family, "Jonesy" always knew he wanted to be involved in ministry in some capacity. He has held positions of leadership in which he has ministered to all ages, elementary through adult. Having a passion for teaching and seeing those in the church become excited about the Bible, he received his BA in Biblical Studies from Azusa Pacific University while minoring in philosophy and political science. Matt did some of his coursework at Jerusalem University College while living in Jerusalem, Israel. He received his MA in Biblical Studies and Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary.
Matt is President & CEO of Express Master Brokers, Inc in Ontario, CA and thoroughly enjoys teaching a Wednesday night bible study at his church. He also loves Merle Haggard.
Inspired by Batman comics, Jon, the artist behind Poorboy, began drawing heroic characters at a very young age. Growing up, he loved meshing his talents and passions with serving the Lord and got involved in many different ministries from children to young adults. Jon attended Westmont College, in Santa Barbara, and received a B.A. in Communications. To this day, he continues to seek new and innovated ways to communicate the Gospel to others. He presently speaks at various youth gatherings in Rancho Cucamonga. He has been wonderfully married to his high school sweetheart Rebecca for 2 years, and they have a son named Josiah.
Heather Clements, Ph.D., is professor of theology and philosophy in the Division of Religion and Philosophy in the School of Theology. She is a third-generation northern Appalachian migrant and a widely published author on the Appalachian religion, as well as church history, and culture and women in religion. In 2001, Ackley wrote the book Women, Music, and Faith in Central Appalachia: Studies in Women and Religion. She has been interviewed for her expertise concerning religion and theology for print, radio, and television.
Kevin Cobb began his tenure at Corinth as the Pastor of Student Ministries in August 2006. He is a graduate of Cal State Fullerton with a degree in Human Services. He has done graduate work at Fuller Seminary in Pasadena, CA.
Kev has served in ministry at the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, California and Hillside Community Church in Rancho Cucamonga, California and has enjoyed being around students for the last 25 years. His responsibilities at Corinth include oversight of Children's, Club 56, Roots Jr. High, Crossroads Sr. High, and the Young Adult Ministries. Kevin loves to run, watch Angels baseball, and build relationships with people.
Kevin has been married to Jann for the last 24 years and has 2 daughters - Jeni who is 23 and Lissa who is 21.
Lem Usita provides leadership over Admissions, Athletics, and Student Life at San Diego Christian College. He previously taught in the Biblical Studies Department, teaching youth ministry and Bible. Lem is currently a doctoral candidate at Biola University. His research focuses on Adolescent Identity Formation in Online Environments.
He is married to his beautiful wife Danielle, and lives in Rancho Penasquitos. He is a worship leader, has a heart for youth, and very passionate about Christian Formation being at the heart of Christian Higher Education.
